About Trison Solutions

Our History

Trison Solutions was founded in 1989 by three friends who met while working at Hibbing Electronics, a large local electronics manufacturer. They saw an opportunity to “moonlight” by taking on smaller run assemblies for customers that did not fit the high production Hibbing Electronics model.

When Hibbing Electronics was acquired in 2007 and its Hibbing manufacturing operations closed, the three friends decided to make Trison their full-time focus. Joined by several former colleagues, they built what is now Trison Solutions, LLC.

Over the years, Trison grew rapidly, earning a reputation for quality and customer commitment. In 2022, the original founders decided it was time to bring in new ownership and fresh energy. The principals of 218 Partners, LLC, acquired the company in October 2022 and have continued Trison’s tradition of enthusiasm, innovation, and dedication to both customers and employees.

Trison in the Community

At Trison Solutions, we believe in sharing our good fortune with those around us. Whether it’s volunteering in our communities, supporting and educating future employees through local high school programs, or caring for our own team members, Trison is committed to making a positive impact right here in our area.

Education programs

Trison participates in the Youth Skills Training (YST) program through the surrounding area high schools, providing them with real-world work experience.

United Way

Trison proudly supports the United Way of Northeastern Minnesota through employee and employer support. Additionally, employees participate in the annual Manufacturing Buddy Backpack packing session that helps local students at-risk of hunger on weekends and holiday breaks throughout the school year when they do not have access to school lunch and breakfast.
