Legacy Products

Legacy products are those nearing the end of life in full production. These assemblies are typically embedded in equipment that has outlasted its internal electronics. The products often do not fit the business model of larger electronics manufacturers due to lower production volumes. At Trison, we excel at providing your company with first-class service for these lower-volume legacy products.
Reverse Engineering

Some existing products may have been discontinued or may not have been manufactured in years. They may lack the basic documentation necessary to be assembled. Trison uses existing assemblies and any available artifacts to determine how the parts were used to re-create the assemblies. Trison develops and provides our customers with current design files, test environments, and all intellectual property for their records.
Redesign Assemblies

Redesigning electronic assemblies is similar to reverse engineering. It starts with an existing product; however, in this case, some or all the components may be obsolete. Trison redesigns assemblies to maintain or improve their functionality by replacing obsolete parts with current alternates and provides our customers with updated design files, test environments, and intellectual property.
Refurbish/Remanufacture Boards and/or Assemblies

The refurbish/remanufacture process begins with the customer sending Trison non-working boards or complete assemblies. Our team troubleshoots them and makes any necessary repairs. Often, the boards are part of a complete box build that Trison will refurbish to a “like new” condition. This may be an economical alternative to redesign or reverse engineering.
Functional Test Development

Trison’s engineering team is an expert in developing and programming functional test environments. The team enjoys the challenge of automating the test process and designing simple-to-use test devices that mimic end-use scenarios, ensuring our customers’ assemblies deliver on their intended use.
Contract Engineering
